Lancert Foster

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Lancert Foster grew up involved in a wide variety of activities, including the Chicago Children’s Choir, the Math Team, the Academic Decathlon, football, and boxing. He attended Florida A&M University, attaining both a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Computational Mechanics. In 2002, he began working at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) as a Research Aerospace Engineer in the Inlets and Nozzles Branch. Mr. Foster is currently GRC’s propulsion technical lead for the Hypersonic Technology Project (HTP). He is a former National President of the National Technical Association (NTA), America’s oldest minority engineering and technical society, and frequently speaks to urban youth in Cleveland area schools.
